In 2001, Adam’s his first speaker bureau consisted entirely of diversity and multicultural speakers. By 2003 his expertise had been sought and utilized by regional and national organizations.
Adam supplements his dynamic keynote presentations with hands-on, highly interactive, and kinetic workshops. With over a decade since his first motivational speech, and now several years of diversity, leadership, creativity, and communication training behind him here are some of his most popular workshops:
Leadership, Motivation, and Creativity
Winner Takes All!: An interactive workshop that explores the social and cultural costs associated with over-competitiveness. Discover a new meaning for the word victory and being a winner will never feel the same again.
Diversity, Multiculturalism, Sensitivity
Power Town Down Town: In this highly interactive and very hands-on workshop participants build a city from scratch. In a perfect world, this is not such an easy task. In a world plagued by ‘ism’ the task quickly grows even more interesting.
No, No, No… That Can’t Be: Stubbornness is part of human nature. This workshop investigates attribution error (stereotyping), confirmation bias (tunnel vision), and the powerful influence our subconscious has for society’s ‘isms.’
Sister City Civics: A mock government commission meeting for your group that has been unexpectedly appointed by important government officials to select a delegation to represent your community during a sister city exchange program.
Why Won’t You Tell Me Your Name: This is an introduction to or reminder of the invisible labels others place on us or that we place on others.
A Different Life: Through guided imagery participants experience life as a closeted LGBT person during childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, and the first stages of the coming out process.
Accessibility Audit: An informal accessibility audit. A customized scavenger hunt on wheels quickly reveals the physical barriers found in many environments.
Leadership, Creativity, and Teamwork
New-Fashioned Brainstorming: This program is only for groups and organizations serious about making a positive change in their community. A structured and intensive brainstorming session designed to maximize the value of everyone’s input.
Tug of Peace: For safety reasons “tug of war” has fallen out of favor with professionals in recreational associations. Violence (war) is to be avoided. Tug of Peace offers an alternative to the old-style team building game and gives new meaning to thinking outside the box.
The Exclusion Solution: Exposes the mechanics of exclusion and group conformity that happen to be powerful enemies of creativity and teamwork. This workshop provides an explanation of destructive group dynamics in a non-threatening manner that leads to the understanding necessary for positive change.
